The Executive has approved this year’s budget of incomes and expenditure of the Fund Administration for Environment, on the basis of which the Junk - Car Scrapping program can unfold over the immediately following period, PM Emil Boc has announced at the end of the Executive meeting. PM has mentioned that the programme devoted to the car park renewal addresses both individuals and legal entities, and it will be extended to tractors as of this year.
“I hope that whereby these measures, we can support economic activity, via the state direct intervention, so that we can overcome this more difficult period”, PM has stated.
The Environment and Forest Ministry, Mr. Laszlo Borbely has stated that the enforcement of the Car scrap programme for cars this year will start as of February 20th, most probably. “As of February 20th, the persons who want to benefit from this programme for cars can come up at Remat for formalities drafting”, the Minister of Environment and Forests has stated. With respect to the enforcement of Car scrap programme for tractors too, Minister Borbely has added that this will start around March 20th, 2010. The Environment and Forests Minister has explained that with respect to the enforcement of Car scrap programme for cars, the value of a ticket amounts to 3.800 RON. “An individual or legal entity can go with more cars, if he owns them, receives vouchers, these can be transmitted. We, as authorities, are interested in the removal of old cars from market…With respect to individuals, there is not an upper value limit for car delivery. In case of legal entities, there is the 200.000 EUR limit per year, up to which cars can be scraped ”, Minister Borbely has stated.
With respect to the procedure for the enforcement of Car scrap Programme for tractors, the Environment and Forest Ministry has showed that no value tickets will be awarded, as in case of cars, but it will be awarded state aid worth up to 17.000 RON but no more than 50 percent of the tractor value.
For this year, the Environment Fund has a budget of up to 1, 8 billion lei, for the financing of more environment programmes: Green House – with renewable energy, programmes pertaining to waste waters and forestation as well as environment protection programmes.
