Now, like 153 years ago, we need unity to safeguard the interests of Romania. We, Romanians, we were united around the national ideals and country’s interests in all turning points of history. An arch over time proves the continuity and timeliness of this value.

Union of Romanian Principalities was the expression of political wisdom of the time to promote, despite historical constraints, a coherent vision for the modernization of Romania. It is an example that we politicians have to keep in mind especially in these current social and economic circumstances.

Romania's major historical moments require, once again, the entire political class to show unity, responsibility and courage, like the predecessors. It is the duty of politicians to show maturity, wisdom and promote projects to build further, Romania as a European state for the benefit of Romanians.

It is time to replace confrontation with competition and, together, to reflect on the interests of Romanians at home and abroad.
