PM Emil Boc: In the context of the intergovernmental meeting, there will be signed bilateral cooperation documents in education, environment and health, and a joint statement of the two governments
As you know, today and tomorrow, there will take place in Jerusalem, Intergovernmental consultations, in restrained format, of the two Cabinets. Action is the materialization of a common project, agreed during the visit of Prime Minister Netanyahu in Romania, in July 2011, and marks a new stage of development of bilateral relations.
From the Romanian Government, there will attend: Minister of Economy, Foreign Minister, Minister of Environment, Minister of Regional Development, Minister of Education, Health Minister, Minister of Agriculture and the Secretary General of the Government.
The works in Jerusalem include bilateral meetings between the Romanian and Israeli counterparts, followed by a plenary session of the two Cabinets. Areas, on which discussions will focus, are basically set by the composition of the two delegations. I, however, insist, very briefly, on priority themes for the Romanian side: further building on bilateral relations with Israel in the sphere of economic activity, focusing on investment, energy, tourism, agriculture, research development, IT and communications.
Also, the visit to Israel has a component dedicated to community of people originating in Romania. In this respect, I will have a meeting with some representatives of this community during today. Thank you
