I congratulate you for having finalized an approach to attract European funding. I want to tell you only two things.
Romania's withdrawal from recession may be hastened if we use in the best and most efficient way the European money. If my calculations are correct, 19 million EUR come to Moldova, to Iasi and expect from you the implementation
Romania has this chance, as a member of the European Union to use in addition to other resources at its disposal, European funds too, money prepared to come to Romania to implement projects to modernize the country.
So think about that every project that you put into practice is a small step to help Romania get out of the economic recession this year.
Secondly, I do not want that in Iasi, we have situations where from the signature until implementation, 14 months passed, as it happened in the past. Quite the contrary. I urge you to organize as soon as possible legal procedures, call tenders, in order to shorten the deadline from signing to the implementation of project for the benefit of the Romanian economy and of modernization of Moldavia, Iasi and on infrastructure components that you have signed today.
I wish you all success.
(…) We want once in fortnight to organize in the territory, the Executive meeting to know easily the problems and resolve them today. There are 14 points on the daily agenda with respect to Moldova. When I announced that the Executive meeting is held at Iasi, older or newer projects were found at the Ministry, and they were promoted with full rapidity.
From this standpoint, it is a beneficial instrument to urge some structures under Ministries’ authority to be more efficient since we organize these meetings at local level.
