The Executive has under analysis a project aimed at setting up a National Pharmaceutical Company, whose central pivot will be Antibiotice SA Company Iasi, Prime Minister Emil Boc has announced today on his visit to the Iasi based company.
"First, there would be set up this Romanian national company, by merging primarily the UNIFARM with the Central Office of Storage for special situations, afterwards, the Health Ministry’s stake to Antibiotice are to be taken over, so that the society becomes the core structure of this national company”, PM has stated.
Prime Minister has stated that the new company is about to be declared of national strategic interest, which means recognition of its role on the national and global market, with all the subsequent facilities”.
In the Head of the Executive’s view, such a measure will generate more jobs in the economy and at the same time, will stimulate the medicines production in Romania, at high quality standards.
Prime Minister has voiced his appreciation for what Antibiotice SA Iasi represents in Romania and abroad.
‘I assure you of the Government’s full support for you to cope with competition in the field. I say this in the benefit of the ordinary citizen, of those who need valuable medicines but at decent prices”, PM Emil Boc has stated.
