Today, PM Emil Boc has met at Victoria Palace, the Head of the UN Assistance Mission in Afghanistan. PM Emil Boc has hailed the outcome of UN official’s mission in Afghanistan, and Mr. Kai Age Eide has thanked the PM Emil Boc for the professionalism of Romanian military deployed in the theaters of operations from Afghanistan, as well as for his protection by the Romanian Protection and Guard Service during his mission in Afghanistan.
The two officials have agreed on the importance of the continuation of international community’s efforts in Afghanistan, towards economic and social development, reconstruction and institutional capacity consolidation. In this context, PM Emil Boc has reaffirmed the position of our country with respect to presence in Afghanistan, as well as the determination to further contribute at military and civil level, to the stability and reconstruction of this country.
On February 5-6th, Mr. Kai Age Eide pays a visit to Romania, in the context of the end of his mandate in Afghanistan.
